Dragon Kisser Walkthrough
Complete Dragon Kisser walkthrough covering all three boss phases — dodge, romance minigames, and the Gauntlet — from first launch to the victory kiss.
Before You Start
Dragon Kisser is a free single-boss arcade game on Steam. Download it from the Steam store, launch it, and you are immediately dropped into Domingo's village as Luciana the dragon attacks. There is no tutorial menu — the game teaches through play. A full first run takes about 15 minutes. Expect to replay at least once to improve minigame scores or try different dialogue. Before starting, skim our dodge phase guide and system requirements to avoid performance issues mid-fight.
Phase 1: Dodge Luciana's Attacks
The fight opens in a third-person arena. Luciana breathes fire in patterns across the ground. Your goal is to jump and twirl out of the way using movement keys — not to damage her. Dodge well enough and she pauses, giving Domingo a brief window to speak. This phase borrows soulslike timing without the punishment: failing a dodge costs time, not lives. Stay mobile, watch the wind-up animations, and move perpendicular to fire lanes. Once Luciana acknowledges your agility, civilians begin cheering and the romance phase unlocks. For detailed movement tips, read our how to dodge fire attacks guide.
Phase 2: Romance Minigames
Villagers throw items into the arena — guitars, dance props, and conversation starters. Catch an item and present it to Luciana to trigger a minigame. Each minigame earns romance points toward the kiss. The seven minigames span dancing, guitar playing, and flirtatious dialogue. Fumbling a minigame does not end your run, but it wastes precious time and may anger Luciana briefly. A developer-confirmed tip: stand close to the dragon and spam claps and stomps to trigger minigames faster. See our villager items guide for which objects lead to which minigame.
Phase 3: The Gauntlet
After enough romance points, Luciana challenges you to the Gauntlet — every minigame you practiced, fired in rapid succession. This is the hardest part of Dragon Kisser. Rhythm, reflexes, and charm all matter at once. Passing the Gauntlet earns the right to kiss the dragon. Failing sends you back to retry individual minigames before she offers the Gauntlet again. Our Gauntlet completion guide and Gauntlet minigame page cover patterns and pacing.
The Victory Kiss & Replay
Clear the Gauntlet and Domingo earns the legendary kiss. You unlock the "DRAGON KISSER" Steam achievement. Replay for the "Beginnings..." achievement if you missed it, higher minigame scores, and alternate ending variations through different dialogue. Use our Romance Progress Tracker to track minigames across replays.
